Las Colonias Park
Las Colonias Park stretches 130 acres along the banks of the Colorado River. The park offers easy access to recreational amenities, as well as convenient access to shopping and businesses.
The park, a large open space, is notable for containing a major segment of the Colorado Riverfront Trail System, which preserves a rich and diverse environment. The trail system provides recreational opportunities for walkers, road bikers, skaters, joggers and fishermen.
The western end of the park includes the 15-acre Watson Island, which was recently developed into a challenging 18-hole disc golf course. Each disc golf hole has three options for baskets, offering a way to change up the course to accommodate recreational players and competitions.
Las Colonias Park’s newest addition is a $3.7 million amphitheater with multi-functional opportunities for small, medium, and large crowds. The amphitheater includes a large stage, a green room, parking and gently sloped lawn seating.
